FROM AN IDEA TO NOBLE METAL

Noble Metal Outfitters began with a pair of boots.

Founder and designer Matt O'Desky grew up in Chicago and moved to Austin, Texas, at sixteen. Nearly twenty years later, after living in Texas without ever owning a pair of cowboy boots, he finally decided there had to be something to them.

His wife bought him his first pair—a pair of brown crocodile Lucchese boots. He loved them. Ostrich came next.

Then, one day, an idea struck: what if the extraordinary textures found in these leathers could be recreated in fine jewelry?

That idea became Noble Metal Outfitters.

Founded in Austin in 2020, Noble Metal Outfitters transforms distinctive natural textures into jewelry crafted in gold and platinum.

Crocodile. Ostrich. Giant gator. Pirarucu. Hippo. Lizard. Caiman. Classic leather.

Those inspirations became The Noble Eight—eight distinctive designs, each translating the character and irregularity of its source texture into precious metal.

The concept may have started with wedding bands, but the vision has always been bigger: to create a collection of fine jewelry recognizable not by a logo, but by its texture.

Every Noble Metal Outfitters design begins with an idea from founder and designer Matt O'Desky.

Matt has spent more than two decades in the fine-jewelry industry, working directly with clients to design and create jewelry intended to be worn for a lifetime. Noble Metal Outfitters grew from that experience—and from a desire to create something that didn't already exist.

Modern technology helps bring each concept to life, but the design begins with Matt and the texture that inspired it.

ROOTED IN FINE JEWELRY

Noble Metal Outfitters isn't a jewelry concept created only for the internet.

The collection grew out of Matt's career in fine jewelry and his work with The Diamond Room, the private jeweler he founded in Austin in 2008. Today, Noble Metal Outfitters pieces can be viewed by appointment at The Austin Diamond Room and The Diamond Room of Dallas.

That relationship gives Noble Metal Outfitters something increasingly rare in online fine jewelry: a real jeweler, real showrooms, and real people standing behind every piece.
